Monday with a Capital M

Today has been a Monday. From the mini being in the shop to having a lot of things to do and not enough time to do them, today has been a little hectic and slightly stressful. Thankfully there are still some delicious Cheddar Garlic Biscuits left over from the weekend. Matt made them based on a recipe we found online that comes very close to replicating the Red Lobster biscuits. So delicious.

As February starts to draw to a close, I am super proud of the things I’ve accomplished and I hope to make March even more productive. More on that for my Meetup post in March, but just thinking about how I’ve maintained my goals two months in a row makes me happy.

Today for the first time I sat and was pretty much forced to do nothing. Waiting for Matt to pick me up at work I wandered, talked to coworkers, read and just chilled. It felt good, but the stress of the day returned once I got home and realized how much time I had “wasted”. Next month I’d like to work on making that time not feel wasted.

Speaking of books, I haven’t done a reading Thursday in a while, but lately I’ve been involved in the Dark Tower series by Stephen King. I had a lot of difficulty with the first book but have been completely absorbed since starting the second. I’m about to start the fourth tomorrow and I can’t wait to see what happens next.

How was your weekend? Your Monday?
