Tis the Season and I’ve already gone through a handful of Christmas Movies with more to come!
My personal favorites:
White Christmas – starring Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye (Miracle on 34th Street – honestly, who doesn’t love this Christmas classic starring Maureen O’Hara, Natalie Wood and the ultimate Kris Kringle – Edmund Gwenn?
The Muppet Family Christmas – this one often competes with White Christmas as my all-time favorite. Every muppet you could possibly think of appears in this wonderful story of how Fozzie brings his friends home for Christmas to surprise his mom. The Muppet gang, incl. the Sesame Street gang AND the Fraggles (incl. Doc and Sprocket!!) all appear to celebrate the Holidays and there is even a Jim Henson cameo towards the end.
Prancer – a Holiday movie for the ’80’s generation, this story of a true believer and her quest to help return a reindeer she believes is Prancer to Santa is classic and moves me every time.
Gremlins – Yes. Gremlins. I will argue that it IS a Christmas movie 😀
A Charlie Brown Christmas – every year I get so so excited for the first time I watch this movie. It’s so perfect and awesome.
And let’s not forget other holiday classics like Rudolph, the Grinch and a very Griswold Christmas Vacation.
What are your Holiday favorites?
